Growing up as one of seven kids my childhood was very fun but we didnt have the money to go on big holidays let alone overseas holidays. It wasnt until my Texas living Aunty was getting married in Hawaii that I recevied my first passport & my obsession for travel began.

The travel bug virus only worsened after farewelling a friend who was off on a year long Canadian Adventure.

I've since been to Europe twice, Hawaii, North America, Fiji, Bali, Thailand & various places along Australia's east coast. With many more upcoming trips.

 

These trips include but are'nt limited to my 3 month Asia backpacking adventure followed by a relocation to London.

Some background about why I chose the name 'Spread Your Wings'. There's of course the obvious connotations to travel but I actually chose it because of two other reasons:

 

Firstly i'm finally flying the coop. Although I have lived out of home before it was only for 6 months with my (then) partner we then swiftly moved into his parents house to save money for travels.

 

Secondly 'Spread Your Wings' features in two songs that I like. The first being Christina Aguilera's 'Soar'(which I sang at my year 12 graduation) and secondly Little Mix's song 'Wings'. In (mental) preperation for this trip I continued to repeat the lyrics of these songs and now I feel like I'll be able to live them out.

'My mum told me not to waste my life she said spread your wings my little butterfly'...'you can soar, spread your wings and soar'.
